Academic Bowl Web Page  The mission of the Creekland  Academic Bowl Team is to strengthen students' academic skills through the preparation for and participation in Academic Bowl competitions.
The Academic Bowl Team will practice weekly on Wednesday afternoons from 3:38 until 5:00.  Parents are expected to pick students up promptly.  The Academic bowl team will participate in local, county, district  and state level Academic Bowl competitions.

Art Club Web Page The Art Club will offer challenging and innovative art projects.  The students will learn about artists and create art work.
Projects will include tie-dye t-shirts, fused glass jewelry, holiday decorations, pastels, drip paintings, etc.

Club Site This club exists to provide students with business and marketing skills through hands on experience.  We provide a service to CMS by helping with the school store.

Student members will work with parent volunteers to staff the school store.  Through this small business students will have the opportunity to create a marketing plan, track inventory, and develop other small business skills.

CMS International Club  The goals are to propagate and celebrate the rich cultural heritage from all countries represented by the Creekland community, to provide exposure to multiculturalism, and to provide leadership opportunites to CMS students. The club recognizes that each individual has talents which, if properly harnessed, will contribute to the general well being of mankind.
Club members will host foreign food fairs, viewings of school-approved foreign films, guest speakers, student presentations, etc.

The purpose of the club is to promote a healthy lifestyle and learn about nutrition in a fun and rewarding way by preparing and serving healthy food.

Learning how to select, prepare and serve different types of food, making holiday decorations, and participating in the International Fashoing Show on Cultural Arts Day.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will present to athletes and coaches and all whom they influence the challenge and adventure of receiving Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, serving Him in their relationships and in the fellowship of the church.
Beginning of the year bash (in the gym); Movie and a message; Christmas Coat/Food Drive; FCA Spring Fling /Get Your Game on Day; Community service activities.

Gamer's Club at Creekland Middle School seeks to provide educational opportunities through gaming. Activities and discussions aim to build critical thinking skills and strategic awareness.
The Gamer's Club will meet once a month and include board games, card games and video games.  Snacks will be provided through parent donations.  During each Gamer's Club meeting, students will be able to rotate between "gaming" stations.  Club meetings include discussions on critical thinking skills, strategic awareness, and how these skills are  helpful in school. Concerned parents provide snacks/drinks on a regular basis.

The purpose of the National Junior Beta Club shall be to promote the ideals of character, service, and leadership among elementary and secondary school students, to reward meritorious achievement and to encourage and assist students in continuing their education after high school.
Students help plan for the service projects and prepare the materials needed.  Students participate in the induction ceremony.  Officers run much of the meetings and ceremony.   Students will work on getting 30 service hours of volunteer work this year. The major fundraisers the our CMS National Jr.  Beta Club has participated in for service are Pennies for Patients and Relay for Life.

The mission of the Creekland News Crew is to encourage students to become leaders among their peers and to provide community service by recording a school news broadcast for play back on closed circuit TV.
The main activity of the News Crew members is the daily preparation and broadcast of the CMS announcements.
Members will meet once per quarter in the morning for planning the news show.

The mission of the CMS Reading Bowl Team is to encourage students to explore literature and build reading comprehension while preparing for the reading bowl competition on the county, district, and state level.
Weekly practice meetings and participation in competitions.

The mission of the SAT Prep Club is to prepare gifted students who plan on taking the SAT tests through the Duke University TIP program.
Students will go over testing strategies and high school level material in math and verbal in order to prepare for the SAT test.

Student council provides community service, ensures awareness of meaningful events, and encourages students to show support and appreciation to our faculty and staff.
Planned activities for CMS will include: School dance, Staff Recognition, Red Ribbon Week, and 8th Grade dance (with help from the CMS PTSA). Community projects include:  Fall: Red Ribbon Week school-wide project; Winter:Visit the senior center in Canton, GA  Spring: Relay for Life and help with 8th grade dance ( selling tickets and advertising)
