2013 Middle School Summer School Programs
Cherokee county School District is offering Summer School opportunities for students to earn credit for high school classes and 8th grade students to recover course work to be able to advance to 9th grade.
Health and PE for Rising 9th graders
Rising 9th graders can elect to take a ½ unit of Physical Education and/or Health for high school credit. Classes are June 3-June 21 meeting for 4 hours daily (either 8:00-12:00 noon, or 12:30-4:30 p.m.) at Polaris Evening Program at Woodstock HS or Cherokee High School. Cost is $200 per course/half unit credit. Attendance at all classes is mandatory.
Middle School Bridge Program
A summer school “bridge” opportunity for 8th grade students who failed required core courses (Math, Reading, and Language Arts, or Science) for promotion to 9th grade is offered. This summer program is available for students who will not be promoted to 9th grade without successful completion of one or two core courses. Each high school will have classes for feeder middle schools except Cherokee High School.

Cherokee County Educational Foundation
The newly established Cherokee County Educational Foundation invites you to be a part of our first fundraising campaign, which includes a T-shirt sale!
The Foundation’s 2013 T-shirts are $10 and can be ordered through your school. Sue King is out contact person for E.T. Booth Middle.
