MediA21 Endorsement Program

Cherokee County School District is committed to engaging 21st century learners.  New technologies such as interactive white boards, mounted ceiling projectors and student response devices will assist Media Specialists focusing on an active learning environment.

An overall goal will be to increase the Level of Technology Integration in the Media Center, the largest classroom in our schools.  Supporting classroom teachers in this paradigm shift will also be a goal of this endorsement.

Participants will keep an electronic portfolio of growth through this two-year program.  Each participant will earn 200 points consisting of training, projects, reflections and collaboration.

Phase I includes teachers in core subject areas: English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Special Education. Phase II includes Media Specialists.
