Cherokee County School District is committed to engaging 21st century learners.  Classroom technologies such as video on demand, interactive white boards, mounted ceiling projectors, classroom wireless student laptops, digital textbooks, creation stations, document cameras, probes, podcasting kits, digital storytelling video kits and student response devices will assist teachers in focusing on an active learning environment.

This program is designed to support teachers during the process of integrating these new technologies effectively.  An overall goal is to increase the  Level of Technology Integration in the classroom with authentic learning experiences.

Teach 21 teachers keep an electronic portfolio of growth throughout this program.  Each participant earns 200 points consisting of training, classroom projects, reflections and collaboration.  The focus of each will be on integrating the National Educational Technology Standards while teaching the Georgia/Cherokee County School District Performance Standards.  The training and projects are designed to give teachers experience and practice using emerging technologies.
