Quarterly Assessments will match the Curriculum Maps

Learning Village, a resource aligned to the Georgia Performance Standards, was designed to provide Georgia educators with easy access to the standards, revised units, and other resources in one easy-to-navigate location. The content is clearly divided into Mathematics and English/Language Arts (ELA). In each section, grade band folders (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-12) make it easy to access information.

COMING 2011-12

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) initiative is presented by the Georgia Department of Education and facilitated by the National Governors Association and the Council of Chief State School Officers. On July 8, 2010 an Action Item for Adoption of Common Core State Standards (CCSS) was approved by the Georgia State Board of Education.  Plan for the following:

• Fall 2010 CCSS communication/overview to stakeholders by GDOE & CCSD
• 2010-2011 school year resource development and GPS grade level alignment to CCSS  
• 2011-2012 school year CCSS implementation of GPS 2.0 (updated GPS-Version 2)
